I bring the practical experience of a Silicon Valley hi-tech and social venture executive with a strong multicultural background combined with a passion and formal training in coaching and leadership.
After undergraduate and graduate studies in France, I earned a PhD in engineering from Stanford University. For 30 years, I worked in a wide range of high-technology companies as a scientist, engineer, manager and executive. I was a pioneer in digital video and delivered products and systems to the likes of Sony Pictures, Fedex, DirecTV, NASA and the Library of Congress. I also acted as the General Manager of a startup division of NCR and was closely involved in M&A (mergers and acquisitions) at Macrovision (Rovi).
I worked in start-ups, small companies, medium size and large ones and saw what made some fail and what made some succeed. Some of the companies I worked for included Verseon, Compression Labs, NASA and Sony.
For the last 10 years, I have focused on social enterprises and coaching. For five years, I was the Board Chair for TransAccess, a not-for-profit serving people with disabilities, and until recently was COO of Mobile Metrix, a company focused on linking the uncounted poor in urban slums of Brazil to critical resources. I have also been an advisor at Enzi, a young non-profit that helps eliminate the financial barrier to education through people to people social investing. Mobile Metrix and Enzi were both among the 2% NGO selected to receive seed funding from Echoing Green in 2007 and 2010 respectively.
I have been certified professional co-active coach by the Coaches Training Institute where I had additional training in co-active leadership.
